Solo Competition Application – West Kentucky Percussion Festival

Student may play a snare drum or multi percussion solo.
Student must supply their own equipment.
Students will have 10 minutes to setup and perform. Student must play a prepared solo of at least two minutes in length.
Student must bring their copy and two copies of the music for the judges. Student should use original, legally purchased music to ensure compliance with copyright laws.
High School students will play for the judges on Friday, March 20. College students will perform on Saturday, March 21.
There will be two judges in the room and two facilitators to assess your repertoire before performance.
Winners will be presented certificates and prizes. The winners will perform at the festival on Saturday.
Registration fee is $20.00. If the student is part of the honors ensembles on Friday the fee will be $10.00.
Payment must be confirmed before the application will be accepted.
