Frank Oddis, Professor Emeritus of Music and coordinator of the Morehead State University Percussion Program for 35 years from 1977 through 2012, and grant director of an international exchange program for music students and faculty with universities in Brazil supported by the United States Department of Education. The Percussion Ensembles at MSU are internationally recognized and have won three Percussive Arts Society Championships in Marching Percussion under Oddis’ leadership. Additionally, the Morehead State University Concert Percussion Ensemble and Steel Band have toured across the USA and in The People’s Republic of China, Brazil and Spain. Frank Oddis has served as an adjudicator for many state, regional and national percussion and band competitions representing several organizations including DCI, PAS BOA. He is a clinician and endorser of Ludwig drums, Musser keyboards, Sabian cymbals, and Vic Firth sticks and mallets.
