Calvin Warren III, a native of Hopkinsville, Ky was appointed director of bands at Director of Bands at Christian County Middle School in 2016. Soon after, he took over as the Assistant Director of Bands at Christian County High School. His responsibilities include teaching 6th grade band at Crofton Elementary School, teaching percussion ensemble at both the Middle and High School level, and assisting with the Jazz/Concert Ensembles. In back to back years (2020 and 2021), the Christian County Middle and High Percussion Ensembles were selected to perform at the Kentucky Music Educators In-Service Conference in Louisville, Ky.

Mr. Warren earned a Bachelor’s of Music Education degree in 2007 from Murray State University. Mr. Warren has been the percussion arranger for the Murray State Racer Band from 2003- Present. While a member of the MSU Wind Ensemble, he performed at the CBDNA Conference as well as Carnegie Hall. While in college, Mr. Warren competed in the Snare and Tenor Competition at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, placing top 5 in both categories in consecutive years. Mr. Warren is an active percussion arranger and clinician, arranging music for bands in over 20 states. Mr. Warren‘s Professional affiliations include the Kentucky Music Educator’s Association, the NAFME, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Percussive Arts Society. He is endorsed by Innovative Percussion
