2018 Intermediate Snare Drum Clinic

Tyler Casey is a junior in the Murray State University College of Humanities and Fine Arts along with the Murray State University Honors College where he is obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. He currently studies percussion with and assists Dr. John Hill at MSU. Tyler is a member of many ensembles such as the MSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble, MSU Percussion Ensemble, MSU Racer Band Drumline, and the brand-new MSU Jazz Percussion Quintet. He has performed at events such as the Society of Composers, Inc. Region VI 2017 Conference, MSU’s New Music Recital, and the musical “Crazy for You”. Tyler performs as a soloist on marimba, snare, timpani, multiple percussion, vibraphone, and xylophone at many concerts and recitals at MSU. Tyler teaches percussion at several high schools in Kentucky and Indiana in addition to giving private lessons in the Murray area. In his free time, he enjoys writing music, studying Spanish, and leading his campus ministry, Murray Christian Fellowship, in worship music.
